A family event about passion, ...

...love and death, based on the Opera Carmen by Bizet

For this performance of Carmen, Hans van den Boom and Maureen Versprille have made a very original adaptation with two new characters.
In a unique cooperation between five Hague-based institutions, actors of the Nationaal Toneel and Stella Den Haag, musicians of the Koninklijk Conservatorium and singers from the Nieuwe Opera Academie have joined up with the Koninklijke Schouwburg, to present a dazzling family experience for Christmas. The music of the world-famous opera about the devastating beautiful and seductive Carmen, in which singing, text and theater all mingle together.
